Aktaş Border Gate
Aktaş Border Gate is the Turkish border gate between Turkey and Georgia, located in the Kenarbel village within the borders of Çıldır district. It was opened on October 18, 2015. The border gate, which is 1788 meters above sea level, has a total of six platforms, three arrivals and three departures. It is equipped with automation, card access and closed circuit video systems. There is a residence inside the gate for customs officers. The gate is located on the northern shore of Aktaş Lake. It is the third gate opening to Georgia after Türkgözü Border Gate and Sarp Border Gate.
At the Çıldır-Aktaş Border Gate, which serves on an area of 76,000 m2, a total of 19,837 m2 closed area, 3 entrances and 3 exits, a total of 6 platforms were built.
