Hacı Şerif was founded in 1938 in Babadağ. It became famous primarily for its semolina halva in Denizli and its surroundings, then continued its production by carefully blending Turkish delight, chocolate and various fruit desserts with quality and has come to this day. An e-commerce site was established in 2011 to present the local flavors of the Aegean region to the whole of Turkey. Mehmet Tevfik Helvacı and his son Şerif Helvacı, who started confectionery business in Babadağ in 1938, took the first steps of a tradition that extends to the present day.
