Sugözü Recreation Area
Sugözü Recreation Area, located in Toknu village of Besni district of Adıyaman, is a very beautiful place intertwined with nature, where local people come and picnic on weekends and holidays. The waters of Değirmen Stream, which passes right next to it, add a different natural beauty to this place. The park is surrounded by green and dense trees as far as the eye can see. The trees provide enough shade and there are picnic tables and barbecue places at certain intervals.
The promenade area, which is ideal for a morning walk or a mid-day picnic, is also ideal for tent camps. The park is secure and there is no problem for overnight stays. We would like to remind you that there is no market or restaurant in the area for those who are going to camp or are just thinking of coming for a picnic. You should provide your food and drinks before you come to the recreation area. Sugözü picnic area and camping area is a place that meets all needs other than food and beverage shopping. There are facilities such as WC, fountain, prayer room, picnic tables, places for barbecues and children's playgrounds. You can take a walk in the shade of the trees in the large park, and cool off by soaking your feet in the flowing tea on hot summer days. The fact that there is no fee to enter the park is a plus. Those who will tent camp will not pay any fee. Sugözü picnic area and camping area is 7 km from Besni town center and 53 km from Adıyaman city center. Those who will come from Adıyaman can go in the direction of Gölbaşı and turn to the direction of Besni district and provide their transportation. There are signs showing the promenade area in the district center and there is also a parking area. For those who will use public transportation, minibuses depart from Adıyaman to Besni at certain times every day. After arriving in Besni, you can reach the picnic area and camping area by taking the minibuses that go to Sugözü Village from here.
