Serindere Canyon
Serindere Canyon, which has 6 waterfalls ranging in height from 10 to 20 meters, is the most challenging canyon in Kocaeli and the region. Located 26 kilometers from Izmit, Serindere is one of the places visited by nature lovers and hiking groups, especially in recent years. Serin Dere Canyon, where there are many pool-shaped ponds, is a route that well-trained groups can pass. Serindere, which has a different beauty in every season, is a place frequently visited by those who like to trek and camp with its vegetation, natural beauties and cold water flowing with rushing water. It can take hours to complete this difficult track, which is up to 3 meters wide in places.
Sturdy and hard sea shoes are required to walk comfortably in the canyon, to walk easily on the stones and not to slip on the rocks made slippery by the muddy water. You should carry your belongings in a waterproof bag.
