Çımağıl Cave

Çımağıl Cave

Çımağıl Cave, which offers the opportunity to explore the hidden underground world of Bayburt, is located in the Aşağı Çımağıl Village, 35 kilometers from the city center.

Although the cave is not very well known, it really has a mysterious and mystical atmosphere. Its length is 110 meters and the ceiling height reaches 30 meters in some parts. In addition to the stalactites and stalagmites inside the Çımağıl Cave, there are travertine steps, organ-patterned walls, cave flowers, cave pearls and elephant ears that you cannot see in every cave. In fact, the cave, which is an important excursion area, is not visited by many tourists. The reason for this is that the promotion of the cave has not been promoted much.

The Çımağıl Cave starts from the Taşndibi Neighborhood in the Aşağı Çımağıl Village. But it has a tough road. It takes about 1 hour to go to the cave, accompanied by steep cliffs. However, after seeing the beauty of the cave, you will feel that this journey was worth all the difficulties.
