Pigeon Valley

Güvercinlik Valley, starting from Uçhisar and extending to Göreme, is a valley with ancient caves formed by the soft layer of lava and ash. It was named after the dovecotes carved into the soft rocks for the pigeons fed by the locals.

The valley, which is one of the important areas of the Cappadocia region, is on the route of hot air balloons. It has a view that can be watched from Uchisar Castle, one of the high points of the region. The valley, which is also suitable for nature walks, has a 4 km track.
