Church of Santa Maria Draperis
Santa Maria Draperis Kilisesi (Church of Santa Maria Draperis) is a historic Roman Catholic church located on İstiklal Avenue in Beyoğlu, Istanbul, Türkiye. Serving Istanbul’s Latin Catholic community for centuries, the church is one of the oldest Catholic parishes in the city and reflects the multicultural religious heritage of the former Pera district.

Historical Background
The origins of the church date back to the 16th century, when Franciscan friars established a chapel in the Galata–Pera area. After several fires and reconstructions, the current structure was completed in the 18th century. Throughout the Ottoman period, the church served European merchants, diplomats, and the Latin Catholic community residing in Pera.
