Dalyan Lake
Dalyan Lake is the lake formed in the area where the Meriç River empties into the Aegean Sea in Edirne province. Fishing is done in the lake, which is connected to the sea. It is the largest of a group of lakes formed in the Meriç Delta. Eel and mullet are obtained in Dalyan fishing. The water source of Dalyan and Taşaltı lakes is Taşyarma Canal, precipitation and Meriç River. Local people name Dalyan Lake (Peso) and Işık Lake (Üzmene). Islets were formed in Dalyan due to shallowing. Enez city center is located on the NW of Dalyan Lake. The shores of the lake are 10-20 cm deep and the inner parts are 1.5 meters deep. Its waters are salty and soda. The vegetation around it is weak.
