Edirne Lavender Gardens

Lavender, which was started to be cultivated 7 years ago by the Trakya Agricultural Research Institute in Edirne, is an alternative product to the producer, and it is among the profitable crops with its oil sold for up to 100 euros per kilo. Lavender, which turns the city purple with its bloom, also draws attention with its scent, turning the places where it is planted into natural studios. The fields, which are the new address of photography enthusiasts, also caused the emergence of ecotourism in the city. In Edirne, which hosts the most tourists after Istanbul and Antalya, it is expected that many citizens will flock to the city from neighboring cities, Greece and Bulgaria thanks to the Lavender Field Days, which will be held for the 5th time this year on 16-19 June.
