Afyon Cream

Afyon cream obtained from buffalo and cow's milk is an indispensable complement to desserts and a source of flavor. The main preferred cream is the one obtained from buffalo milk. Buffalo cream is milky white in color, is more oily, tastier and more durable. Cow's cream is slightly yellowish and less oily. While cream can be consumed with flavors such as jam and honey for breakfast, its main usage area is desserts. Afyonkarahisar's famous bread kadayıf and cream are inseparable. Apart from this, tel kadayif, quince dessert and even baklava and cream are often used. Turkish delight with cream, which is prepared by putting milk cream between Turkish delight, is a kind of Turkish delight unique to Afyonkarahisar. Afyonkarahisar cream is sold in unique round plastic containers and can be found in Turkish delight shops, shopping centers and delicatessens. Our citizens coming from the villages sell their cream in front of the Municipality Bazaar.
