Aşık Veysel Culture and Art House
The Âşık Veysel Culture and Art House, which was established as a result of the cooperation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Central Anatolian Development Agency, was put into service in order to keep the memory of the world-famous folk poet Âşık Veysel Şatıroğlu alive.
Speaking at the opening, Âşık Veysel's grandson Sebahattin Şatıroğlu said that he was happy to open such a culture house on behalf of his grandfather. After the opening, Governor Gül and his entourage toured the Culture House. The bards of Sivas sang their songs in the Lovers' Chamber. Şentürk Iyidogan, the baglama master, who has the 104-year-old instrument of the famous bard, also played and sang Veysel's folk songs.
There are the Âşık Veysel Room, the Bards Room, the wax statue of Âşık Veysel and the activity rooms in the culture house. The mansion is also located in the section where the belongings of Âşık İsmeti, who passed away to eternity, are kept.
