Bursa Historical Cekirge Sultan Bath

Located below the road level on Murad I Street in Çekirge district, in front of the Military Hospital, the bath is also known as Çekirge Sultan Adak Bath - Women's Bath. It was built in the XIV century (1365-1370). The bath, which is known to be healing and sacred by women, was built for free bathing. After descending a few steps from the road, the entrance to the building is provided. A sea wave motif is embroidered with brick on the entrance door. A long corridor leads to the cold room. The coldness is covered with a single dome. The transition to the dome is provided by squinches inside. From this section, there is another corridor with a rectangular plan. A warm, razor-sharp toilet is connected to this corridor. The top of the temperature section is covered with a dome. The main walls of the building were built with cut stones and bricks. During knitting, two rows of cut stones, sometimes two and sometimes three rows of bricks were used. In addition, a vertical single brick was used between the stones. The domes of the building are covered with concrete from the outside.
