Copper
Copper designing, which is mostly done for touristic purposes today in Rize, differs from the practices in neighboring provinces in terms of both form and design art. Rize copper forging is based on hammer forging, which requires fine workmanship. It is not large and sparsely impacted as in other cities. In Rize copper processing, the lower joints of items such as flat pots, cauldrons and pitchers are quite durable in the form of snap-forging. This profession, which tries to exist as one of the traditions that is about to disappear today, continues to live as seen in the examples of oral tradition produced by the local people over the years.
