Devrek Walking Stick
As raw material wood in Devrek walking sticks; dogwood, maple, beech, walnut, pine, rose, medlar, plane tree, beech, hazelnut, oak, cherry tree and yew tree are used. The wood used in walking sticks is dried for one year. Dried and deformed wood is corrected by annealing thanks to the heat. The most commonly used cane form in the Classic Devrek walking stick is the burma and the snake figure in this form. You can still find these famous and original walking sticks in Devrek district today.
