Dırndl

Dirndl is a traditional dress with narrow top and wide bottom, especially worn by Bavarian women. It is also widely preferred by women in Austria and South Tyrol. It takes its origin from the traditional clothes of the Alpine villagers. In today's Germany, there are women who prefer to wear dirndl at all times of the year. Dirndl dresses are traditionally tight at waist level, while skirts are preferred below the kneecap and have a circular cut look.
