Erimtan Archeology and Art Museum is a private museum located in Altındağ district of Ankara. It was founded by the Cultural Heritage Collectors Association. In the museum; Approximately 2,000 pieces of historical artifacts from the collection of the founding president of the association, Yüksel Erimtan, are exhibited. The museum, which was opened on March 14, 2015, is located near Ankara Castle. There is the Anatolian Civilizations Museum to the west, and the Çengelhan Rahmi Koç Museum to the south. The inspection of the museum is carried out by the Anatolian Civilizations Museum Directorate. Three old buildings make up the museum; It was renewed by implementing a project drawn by Ayşen Savaş, Can Aker and Onur Yüncü. The total renovation cost of the museum, located in Hisar Square, right opposite the entrance of Ankara Castle, was announced as 10,000,000 Turkish liras. Due to its location, in order to adapt to the historical texture, the exterior of the building is built with stones resembling castle walls and completed with narrow windows. The interior walls of the museum, which bear traces of Roman architecture, are covered with inscriptions, just like in those periods, and the exhibition area is planned to consist of a single large hall. In addition to the halls where archaeological artifacts are exhibited, the museum also includes temporary exhibitions; Scientific, cultural and artistic activities are also carried out.
