İnebolu Houses
Inebolu houses in the coastal district are at the forefront of the examples that attract attention with their uniqueness in the diversity of housing on the geography of Kastamonu. The roofs of Inebolu houses, which have certain features, are covered with slate (marla) stone specific to the region. The exteriors of the buildings were painted with ocher, thus giving them an eye-catching beauty with colors such as blue and white, especially red. While the front facades appear to be two storeys, the rear facades also show four floors, which is the original height of the mansions, in the difference in the bench that arises due to the fact that the houses are usually built on steep slopes. Due to the application of the haremlik, which is the main building in the mansions, to the upper floors, there are double stairs inside, besides, the floors were built in an apart style to meet the needs independently of each other. It is possible to see this type of building along the Black Sea coast in settlements such as Abana, İliş, Bozkurt and Çatalzeytin, apart from İnebolu.
