Karagöz Hacivat
Karagöz is a shadow play based on the principle of moving human, animal or object figures (depiction) made of camel or buffalo skin on sticks and moving them on a white screen with the light given from behind. The artist who plays Karagöz is called "dream". The ghosts are the creators of the play, and during the show, they make changes to the play according to the characteristics of the audience, change the places of the scenes and update the subject. In the Karagöz play, the subjects are handled by emphasizing the funny elements, and double meanings, exaggerations, word games, mouth imitations are the main comedy elements.
