Kutnu Fabric

Antep Kutnu Fabric is a type of atlas fabric produced and used in Gaziantep for centuries, usually woven with warp satin or plain weave, and consisting of longitudinal striped patterns. Its warp is fine silk, its weft is a mixture of cotton and silk, and it is mostly road fabric. Over time, rayon (flush) yarn for warp and cotton yarn for weft began to be used.

The kutnu fabric, which does not contain synthetic material, has more than 60 color options.

While wandering around Gaziantep bazaars, it is possible to come across many shops selling kutnu fabric.
