Mudurnu İğne Oyası
Mudurnu district is very rich in terms of handicrafts. In addition to blacksmithing, coppersmithing, saddle making, basketry, tin making, wood carving, weaving, needle lace is one of the main handicraft products produced by Mudurnu women. Needle lace made by Mudurnu women is like a living flower. Even the names given to these laces are taken from the women's own lives. About a hundred years ago, Mudurnu was famous for the handmade needles that it sent all over Anatolia. Evliya Çelebi, who passed by Mudurnu in 1640, praises Mudurnu Bazaar where needle shops are lined and needles. These embroideries are usually sewn to the ends of the scarf and scarf. In recent years, collar roses, necklaces, earrings, necklaces, rings, bookmarks are also made from needle lace.
