Rug Weaving
Handicrafts, which emerged in line with the needs of people and diversified with factors such as natural conditions, living characteristics and climate, are among the important cultural features of Aydın and its surroundings.
Although the weavings used in clothing have lost their importance as a result of industrialization, the hand-woven carpets, rugs and saddlebags of the region are famous for their unique embroidery and colors. The nomadic sacks woven with the sumac technique also have local characteristics. Another example of traditional weaving in Aydın is the production of bristle tent covers suitable for all climatic conditions.
