Sincik Tulip
An important geophyte in Adıyaman is Fritillaria imperialis L., known as the Crying bride or the reverse tulip (Sincik Tulip). This endemic bulbous plant has ecological demands similar to Adıyaman tulip. The height of this plant is 50 - 55 cm. and there are 4-5 flowers in each of the plants that start to bloom in mid-March. Inverted Tulip, Crying Bride, which grows in the high parts of our district, has an important place in our country's annual export of flower bulbs, which is 2.5 - 3 million dollars. These plants, which can also be considered as landscape and cut flowers, have an important value for the economy of our province. In this respect, the doors of our district are open to all entrepreneurs.
