Sofçuluk

Şaliciler, which was the most crowded group of tradesmen in Ankara during the rise of the Ottoman Empire, processed mohair wool and wove Ankara's well-known sof and shawls. Ankara ascetic, whose fame spread to Europe, has had a wide variety of uses because it is suitable for all kinds of weaving and does not fade. Sophistry, which had an important place in Ankara's economy for a long time, started to decline towards the end of the 19th century and has completely disappeared today.
