Sümer Kars Hand Carpet
Since Kars is a livestock region, the art of weaving was also very common. Especially in the field of hand weaving, carpets and rugs were widely woven by the people. However, today, with the decrease in sheep and goat breeding, carpet and kilim weaving has also decreased. Although the weaving work of Kars carpets was a long process, it was a handicraft that was done with pleasure, but unfortunately, this handicraft is no longer made today. Currently, only carpets and rugs woven in the past are available in homes and antique stores on a limited basis.
