One of Ankara's forgotten handicrafts is precious metal and stone management. It is known that there were 63 jewelers in Ankara at the beginning of the 19th century. Silver filigree embroidery is especially important in Beypazarı, where the filigree technique, which is also called "fligre" in the field of precious metalworking, which has an important place among the traditional handicrafts of Ankara, and which has a history of 2500 years in Anatolia, is kept alive and tried to be developed to a certain extent. Filigree is fine wire jewelry decoration. Its raw material is gold and silver. Filigree embroidery came to Beypazarı during the Ottoman period with the institution of Ahilik and settled. Throughout history, gold and silver brought from other provinces in the region, which has been a market on important trade routes, were melted into wire by filigree technique, rolled and thinned, and various ornaments and jewelry were prepared. Today, filigree jewelry processing, which is generally made using silver, is being developed in line with being an important sector in Beypazarı economy.
