Kazaziye Art; It is a local art that is completely handcrafted by knitting with a needle and awl of 24 carat or 1000 carat silver wire with a thickness of 0.08 microns. Kazaziye knitting patterns are made according to the taste of the person who makes the model and design. Kazaziye knits, which have a very stylish and elegant appearance, are also very durable.
Kazaziye art is used in jewelry such as necklaces, earrings, bracelets, medallions, badges, chains, rosary caps and rosary tassels, and in some decorations.
Kazaziye art is made only in Turkey in the world. Although there are over 50 kazaziye masters and tradesmen in Trabzon, the number of kazaz masters is quite limited. On the other hand, some institutions in Trabzon and the Trabzon Chamber of Jewelers organize courses for the continuation and spread of the art of kazazism. Although the art of kazaz is not very common today, it is expected that it will become a demanded handicraft product in the world in the near future.
