The tradition of wooden boat and yacht building continues in Hisar and Kapısuyu, two fishing villages in Kurucaşile. The region is known as the land of shipyards that meet the galleon needs of the Ottoman Navy. Many yachts and boats built by skilled craftsmen reflect 400 years of tradition.
