Yörük Tents

Yörük tent is the Anatolian name of the Kıl tent used by the Turks from Central Asia. The Kıl tent was named as Yoruk tent in Anatolia and its use became widespread. These tents, which have been used since ancient times, have various names today. These are the Kil tent, the Yoruk tent, the Oba tent and the Otağ tent. These tents made of goat hair are generally preferred by the nomads, so they got this name. The nomads are the only nomadic society that carries their home on their backs. Therefore, these tent houses of the Yoruks made of hair are called Yoruk tents and their use is very common.
