Kızılcapınar Dam
Located in Ereğli district, Kızılcapınar Dam Lake is 21 km from Ereğli. The region, which is built on Aydınlar Stream, is known for providing water to the Ereğli Iron and Steel Factory. Also known as Erdemir Dam or Ovaköy Dam by the local people, this dam succeeds in making the region a natural wonder with the lake formed around it. In the dam built by DSI between 1991-1994, the electricity needs of the region are met with the hydroelectric power plant. Trout is thrown at certain times in order to create an ecosystem in the dam and enrich the fishing. You can spend time as you wish in the picnic areas around the dam and take full photos in front of the view offered by the lake. You can also have a picnic or camp with the materials you bring with you.
