Yusufeli Viaduct
The Central Viaduct, a steel orthotropic bridge type with a length of 685 m, was put into service on July 13, 2024. It consists of 2 edge piers and 8 central piers. The bridge has a platform width of 16.5 m, and its highest pier reaches 147 m.
With the completion of the Yusufeli Central Viaduct, the Artvin-Yusufeli-İspir-Erzurum route, which was submerged as a result of the Yusufeli Dam holding water, has been restored.
The project has shortened the connection between Yusufeli and the surrounding villages to the province of Artvin by approximately 15.5 km and reduced travel time from 95 minutes to 70 minutes by replacing the 16.2 km road section that bypassed the existing dam lake with the 685 m Central Viaduct.
