Adaklı

Adaklı gained the status of a district of Bingöl province in 1987. Before this date, it was a sub-district of Kiğı district.

Adaklı, which maintained its status as a village connected to Erzurum together with the Kiğı district for a long time, was connected to the province of Erzincan in 1926 and to the province of Bingöl in 1936 as a subdivision.

The area of the district with its villages is 879 km². This corresponds to 10.82 percent of the provincial surface area. The height of the district center above sea level is 1500 meters. Its distance from the city center is 66 kilometers.

There is no municipality in the district other than the district municipality. The number of neighborhoods within the boundaries of the municipality is 5. There are 35 villages and 75 hamlets connected to these villages in the district.
