Alaplı

Alaplı is a district of Zonguldak province. It is 58 km away from the city center of Zonguldak. Its population is 20,287. Fishing and hazelnut production are carried out. The sub-industry of Erdemir Demir Çelik A.Ş. is also one of the livelihoods of this place. Workers make up most of its population. There are yarn and hazelnut factories in the district. Bölüklü Plateau and Honey Festival has been held since 2010 in Bölüklü Plateau, which is located within the borders of Gümeli Town, which is located within the borders of the district. There is a yew tree over 4,100 years old, which was found in the laboratory environment on the plateau. This tree is one of the 5 oldest trees in the world.
