Almus

Almus is a district of Tokat province in the Black Sea region, 34 km from the center of the province of Tokat. Initially, while the village and sub -district became the center of the administrative division, it became a district on 1 March 1954. According to the population results of 2020, the population is 23,825 people. Almus is famous for its walnut -sized cherry. Until recently, the "Almus Cherry Festival", which has a history of about 30 years, was held. This festival, which has an important place in the socioeconomic life and promotion of the district, has not been held for the last few years.
