Arpaçay

Arpacay is a district of Kars province.

It is the name given by the combination of Şöregel (Kızılçakçak) and Zşart (Arpaçay) counties, which were merged in 1927, and influenced by the Arpaçayı passing through the east of the county.

Azeris and Karapapaks (Terekemes) from Azerbaijan and Caucasus, locals from Kars and later Kurds from Yerevan (Revan) settled; Although they adhered to their own customs and traditions, they adapted to each other.
