Bandırma
Bandırma is a district of Balıkesir province, centered in the innermost part of Bandırma Bay, south of the Sea of Marmara. After Altıeylül and Karesi, it is the third largest district of Balıkesir in terms of population. Bandırma, which has developed rapidly in recent years, is also a district that has one of Turkey's largest ports. There are regular ferry services from Istanbul to Bandırma Port every day. Bandırma, which is economically strong, is an important industrial and poultry city for Turkey. The city, which hosts cultural and artistic events, attracts tourists with great intensity every year. As of the end of 2021, the official population was determined as 161,894.
