Bayramören
Bayramören is a district of Çankırı. While Bayramören was a sub-district of Kurşunlu district; In 1972, it was separated from the Municipality and in 1991 from the Kurşunlu district; gained county status. There are 27 villages in the district and 3 neighborhoods in the center. According to 2021 ABPRS data, the district center is the least populated district center in Turkey with a population of 476. Its total population is 2459, and in this respect, it is the ninth from the last among 973 districts.
The district is 105 km away from the city center and is located in the northwest of Çankırı. Kastamonu province is located in the north of the district, there is the district of Çerkeş and the district of Ovacık of Karabük in the west, Atkaracalar and Kurşunlu in the south, and Kurşunlu district in the east. It has a total surface area of 265 km².
Due to its geographical structure and the scarcity of business areas, it has given a lot of immigration, especially to Istanbul and Ankara. It is also a small town with its historical structure and natural environment.
In addition, the 1st leg of the Pre-Paragliding World Cup Çankırı (Bayramören) & Turkey Championship is held every year. For this reason, it attracts great attention from the surrounding provinces. Most of the people living in the district are retired, while the rest are engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry.
