Bulanık

After the central district, Bulanık is the second largest district of the province in terms of area and population. Its climate is dry and hot in summer and cold in winter. There is Haçlı Lake in the south of the district and the Murat River in the north. Kazan Lake and Murat River in the district are a major factor in being a source of livelihood in fishing. There is a local team called Kopspor in the district. An advantage arising from the natural conditions in the district is 'Winter Sports'. There is a great interest in the sport of skiing. The district of Bulanık contains natural beauties and historical riches. Lake Khaçlı, Lake Kazan or Lake Bulanık is a volcanic barrier lake located in the south of Bulanık district of Muş. It is possible to walk on the frozen lake surface in winter. There are trout and mirror carp in the lake. Esenlik Mosque, located in Esenlik Village, which is a Seljuk work, was built by Sheikh Abdulmelik in 1194 from Ahlat stone. The mosque has a single dome, four windows and two doors. The dome also has four small windows. Bulanık dictrict welcomes you with its nature and historic beauty.
