Çandır
Çandır is a district of Yozgat province.
Although there is no definite information about the history of the district, it is thought to be a settlement dating back to the Hittites period. "Again, as the historical ruins show, Çandır was also a settlement during the Byzantine period. It was later used as a settlement by the Seljuk Dynasty and the Dulkadiroğlus from the Anatolian Principalities, respectively.R4
Çandır became a municipality in 1930, a parish in 1948, and a district on May 20, 1990. On 15.07.1991, the first district governor's qualification, which was legally acquired, was put into practice.
According to the rumor, the name Çandır was formed as a result of the change of the word "Candır", which means "beautiful as life, precious like life". Due to the suitability of the settlement, Çandır has always remained a settlement throughout its history, and also preserved its character as a populated town in the Republican period.
