Çaycuma

Çaycuma is a district of Zonguldak province. The important industrial facilities in the region are the Turkey Pulp and Paper Fabrikaları Anonim Şirketi (SEKA) Factory, which was sold to OYAK within the scope of privatization and renamed as "OYKA Paper Factory" within the scope of privatization, and the Organized Industrial Zone between the town of Persembe. There is also the Sümerbank Filyos Firebrick Factory in the town of Filyos. Filyos port project is carried out in Filyos town of Çaycuma. Natural gas deposits discovered in the Black Sea and Turkey's important quartz crystal deposits are also found in this district. It houses the Çaycuma Campus of Bülent Ecevit University. At the same time, Çaycuma has an airport. Zonguldak Airport remains in Saltukova town of Çaycuma. Turkish Airlines provides domestic flights. There are flights to Istanbul Airport three days a week. Due to the immigrant population living abroad, international flights are also made. There are flights to Dusseldorf Airport.
