Çayırlı
Çayırlı is one of the 9 districts of Erzincan province. It is not known exactly when the district was first settled. Together with Erzincan, it came under the sovereignty of various states from time to time. The region, which remained under the rule of Timur for a while, passed to the Akkoyunlular after Timur's withdrawal and to the Ottoman Empire after the Otlukbeli War in 1473. The district, which remained in the hands of the Armenians after the withdrawal of the Russians in 1915, rejoined the Motherland on February 20, 1918. While it was a sub-district of Tercan District under the name of Mans until June 1954, it became a district on this date. The district is located in the northeast of Erzincan province. Its area is 1480 km2 and its height is 1520 meters. It is neighbors with Tercan and Aşkale districts in the east, Erzincan Central District in the west, Bayburt Province and Otlukbeli District in the north, Erzincan Center and Tercan District in the south. It has a fragmented, rough and bare terrain. It is surrounded by the Keşiş, (Esence), Sipikor and Coşan mountains. Balıklı Dorum and Mans streams flow into the Karasu river, which draws the district border. Although it is not very large, irrigated agriculture is done. It has plains and wide pastures and plateaus. Winters are very cold and long, summer season is short.
