Çaykara

District / Turkiye, Black Sea, Trabzon, Çaykara

Çaykara

It is the district of Trabzon province. Taşkıran and Uzungöl, which are important touristic places of the province, are located in this district. It is 76 km from the city center.

Compared to other districts of Trabzon in terms of tourism, the district has a lucky location due to the Taşkıran and Uzungöl Towns within its borders. These natural wonders, which have been promoted especially in the last 10 years, have been visited by many local and foreign tourists every year.

Asphalt road construction works between Çaykara Uzungöl have been completed. Currently, the bed capacity in the town has reached 1000. There are bungalow type houses built by entrepreneurs.

The height of the lush pine forests, which started right next to the artificial lake, which was formed as a result of the slipping of a mountain slope and closing the mouth of the stream, reaches 2000 meters. Where these forests end, our large plateaus, which are used by the local people in summer, come immediately. Recently, local and foreign tourists, who are bored with sea tourism, give importance to Plateau Tourism, and the plateaus have started to get their share of this activity. As a matter of fact, a modern hotel with 150 beds and a 3-star hotel setting on Sultanmurat Plateau was put into operation in 1997, and it has already been unable to meet the existing demands. Likewise, there is a hotel with 100 beds in Limonsuyu Plateau, which is on the same route, and these investments give the good news of new investments to be made in the future. However, the investments made in Uzungol have destroyed the beauties of nature and leave the visitors with images that are much different than the postcards.
