Çiçekdağı

While Çiçekdağı was a village called Boyalık in 1845, it remained affiliated to the Kızılkoca and Sungurlu Selmanlı subdistricts of Yozgat, and became a subdivision of Yozgat under the name Mecidiye in the last years of the Sultan Mecit's reign.

In 1855, Mecidiye Sub-district was organized as a district. In 1910, the title of district was abolished, the village of Kırdök became a district and was attached to it. Kırdök village, on the other hand, is a settlement established by the Horasan Turkmen dynasties from the Avşar tribe of the Oghuzs, who are estimated to have arrived in the first half of the 1800s. Mecidiye remained attached to this district until 1912. It became a district again in 1912, and the district organization was abolished in Mucur in 1914. It was turned into a district again in 1915. In 1930, the name of the district was changed to Çiçekdağı.

As Akçakent became a district, its area decreased from 1409 km² to 950 km².
