Cihanbeyli
Cihanbeyli is a part of Konya unit in terms of its historical development, geographical structure and social life. The first name of Cihanbeyli is Esbikeşan. Later it was named "İnevi" and it was named İnevi for many years. Esbikeşan has changed places many times from district to sub-district, from sub-district to district. In 1866, Kulu Village became a district with the name Esbikeşan and Cihanbeyli and Şereflikoçhisar were connected to Kulu village. However, the Asair lords of Cihanbeyli and Koçhisar did not want to be attached to Kulu and put pressure on Ankara. Thereupon, the district organization of Kulu was closed and Cihanbeyli and Koçhisar were separated from Kulu. It is connected to the Sille Subdistrict of Konya in Kulu.
Canbegli Tribe settled in Böğrüdelik Village. Böğrüdelik became the district center in 1928. Cihanbeyli takes the name of "Mürsel Efendi" Township and is connected to this district. In 1929, the district status was abolished from Böğrüdelik, and Mürseli Efendi Subdistrict became a district. In accordance with the name of the Canbeyli Tribe in Böğrüdelik, the name Mürseli Efendi is changed to Cihanbeyli. Kulu Village, Altınekin and Yeniceoba Subdistricts are connected to the newly established district. Later in 1954, Kulu and in 1987 Altınekin became the district center and they left Cihanbeyli.
