Devrek

Devrek, which has a deep-rooted history since ancient times, was carrying out the social and cultural burden of the region together with its other close neighbors. In this context, Devrek was inhabited in the earliest Early Chalcolithic Age (5500 BC), and this situation continued until the end of the Early Bronze Age. It is understood that during these years, which we call the 'Dark Age' from 2000 BC until the Hellenistic Period, there was no settlement in Devrek, and it has been inhabited since the Hellenistic Period. Therefore, there is no Hittite settlement in Devrek and its surroundings.
