Düziçi

Düziçi is the third largest district of Osmaniye after the Merkez district and Kadirli. It is located on Düziçi Plain. Surrounded by mountains, the district is 32 kilometers from Osmaniye city center. During the excavations in the region, artifacts belonging to the Hittites were found. The city, which was founded for the first time in the 8th century by Faraç Bey, the margrave of Harun Reşit, became a municipality in 1957 and was connected to Osmaniye in 1996. Mediterranean climate is seen in the district, and maquis are encountered as vegetation. Harun Reşit Castle, Saman Castle, Wolves Castle, Stone Bridge, Haruniye Thermal Springs and Düldül Mountain are the important tourism centers of the district.
