Enez
Enez is a district of Turkey's Edirne province, as well as the town located in the center of the district. It is located on a peninsula on the northern coast of the Aegean, where the Meriç River empties into the sea, surrounded by civil and national borders with the Aegean Sea and Greece in the south and west, with İpsala 21 km north of Enez, Keşan town 60 km east. The district has a total of 30 km of sea and 44 km of civil borders. The total population of the region of the Enez district is 11,066 according to the 2011 census, and its surface area is 473 km2. In Enez district, there is generally a Mediterranean climate. Spring and autumn months are rainy, winters are harsh and dry. In winter, there is little snow, but humid weather prevails. There are Enez-Keşan and İpsala-Enez highways as state highways in the region.
