Erdek
It is located in the Gulf of Erdek on the Kapidag Peninsula of the Marmara Region extending towards the Sea of Marmara. It is one of the first summer resorts in Turkey. Located in the northernmost part of Balıkesir province, on the coast of the Marmara Sea, the district is one of Turkey's most important tourism centers. Although Erdek has a small district population in the winter seasons, the population exceeds the population of some small provinces in the summer seasons with the effect of tourism. The district, which has hosted various civilizations in history, is one of the important districts of Turkey in various aspects.
