Eyyübiye

It became a district as a result of the division of the central district of Şanlıurfa into three with the law numbered 6360, which was accepted in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey on 12 November 2012. With a population of 379,852, it is the second most populous district of Şanlıurfa. The district takes its name from the Prophet of Islam, Eyyub. Here, his place, which is believed to have suffered during his illness, has been turned into a mausoleum.
