Felahiye

The history of the district dates back to the Hittites period. There are many historical artifacts in the area belonging to the Hittite period. Afterwards, it came under Roman and Ottoman rule. According to the artifacts found within the borders of the district, its history dates back to the Hittites. After the Hittites, various civilizations reigned in the district and its surroundings, the most prominent of which are the Romans and the Ottomans. While it was a sub-district of Yozgat Province Boğazlıyan District in the first years of the Republic, it was renamed "Felahiye", which means "Liberation", with the decision of the Yozgat Provincial Permanent Committee in 1925. The district was connected to Güneşli “Mancusun”, one of the central subdivisions of Kayseri Province, in 1926. It became a parish on 15.10.1930 and then became a district on 07 October 1957 with the law numbered 7033.
