Gaziosmanpaşa
Gaziosmanpaşa district was created in 1963 by merging the regions taken from Eyüpsultan and Çatalca districts. Gaziosmanpaşa, which was the largest district of Istanbul in terms of population until 2008, was divided on this date and two new districts emerged. Thus, the neighbors of Gaziosmanpaşa, one of the smallest districts, are Eyüpsultan in the east; Sultangazi in the north; Esenler and Bayrampasa to the west; Zeytinburnu in the south.
